Alberto Arias, Non-executive Chairman

Mr. Alberto Arias is the founder and President of Arias Resource Capital Management LP. Mr. Arias has over 15 years of experience in the field of international mining finance, and is widely recognized as an industry expert, having been ranked for five consecutive years as the #1 equity research analyst for the metals and mining industry in Latin America by leading polls such as Institutional Investor. Prior to founding Arias Resource Capital, Mr. Arias worked for eight years at Goldman, Sachs & Co., most recently acting as Managing Director and Head of Equity Research for metals and mining in the U.S., Canada and Latin America. Prior to Goldman Sachs, Mr. Arias worked for 4 years at UBS as Executive Director and Analyst covering the Latin American metals and mining sector. Mr. Arias has engineering degrees in mining and metallurgy and an MBA (B.Sc. from the Colorado School of Mines and three Masters degrees from Columbia University), mining industry operational experience, and holds a patent for a gold mineral processing technology. He was raised in a family with a three-generation tradition of founding and managing private mining companies in Peru.

David Brace, Director

Mr. Brace is a registered professional geologist (APGO, EGBC) with over 40 years’ experience in the metals and mining business throughout the Americas. Most recently he served as CEO and Director of Karmin Exploration Inc. until Karmin was acquired by Nexa Resources S.A. in November 2019. Prior to Karmin, Mr. Brace was CEO and Director of GlobeStar Mining Corporation until that company’s acquisition by Perilya Ltd. in December 2010. Mr. Brace also served as Executive Vice-President of Business Development with Aur Resources Inc. until August 2007 when Aur was acquired by Teck Resources Ltd. Mr. Brace holds a B.Sc. in Geology from the University of Toronto and an M.B.A. in Finance and Accounting from the University of British Columbia.

Jonathan Lee, Director

Mr. Lee is a Vice President with the private equity firm Arias Resource Capital Management LP. Prior to Arias Resource Capital Management, Mr. Lee worked with Ambac Assurance Corporation, a global bond insurer. Prior to Ambac, Mr. Lee held positions with the investment firm Raging River Capital, the mining hedge fund Geologic Resource Partners LLC, and Byron Capital Markets Ltd in Canada as a mining & metals equity research analyst. Additionally, Mr. Lee has prior experience as an Environmental Engineer with several construction and engineering firms. Mr. Lee previously served on the board of Park Lawn Company Ltd. and Bearing Lithium Corp. Mr. Lee earned his MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University and holds a BS in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Economics from Tufts University.

Paulo Misk, Director

Mr. Misk is an executive with over 35 years of experience in operational management for various large multi-national companies such as AMG Brasil, RHI-Magnesita, Anglo American and Largo Resources, across a wide range of specialty commodities including vanadium oxide, ferrovanadium, niobium oxide, ferroniobium, tantalum oxide, tin, lithium and other industrial minerals. Mr. Misk is an expert on team building, results orientation, innovative policy implementation and the fostering of a high-performance work culture. His previous experience is marked by the integration of sustainable initiatives throughout entire organizations, which is governed by a respect for communities, people, and the environment. Mr. Misk joined Largo in 2014, where he led the commissioning of the Maracás Menchen Mine and has since been instrumental in a multitude of outstanding achievements at the company. Mr. Misk was promoted to President and Chief Operating Officer in 2018 and became President and Chief Executive Officer in 2019. Mr. Misk graduated with a degree in Mining Engineering from the Federal University of Minas Gerais, holds an MBA in Business Management from FGV - Brazil / Ohio University - EUA and Advanced Management Program at FDC - Brazil / INSEAD - France.

IAN ROBERTSON, Director

Mr. Robertson has more than 30 years of experience in the origination and execution of global energy initiatives and is committed to the concept of sustainable development. From co-founding Algonquin’s predecessor in 1988, Ian served as Chief Executive Officer and a Director of Algonquin until July 2020. During his leadership tenure at Algonquin, Mr. Robertson drove the expansion of wind and solar energy modalities, as well as leading the company to become a sustainability focused North American regulated electric, natural gas and water utility with over 800,000 customers. Mr. Robertson previously served on the Board of Directors of Algonquin’s affiliate Atlantica Yield plc, a publicly listed sustainable infrastructure company with over 1,551 megawatts of renewable energy generation capacity. Mr. Robertson received an electrical engineering degree from the University of Waterloo, a Master of Business Administration from York University, and a Master of Law from the Law School of the University of Toronto. He is a professional engineer and holds a Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Daniel Tellechea, Director

Mr. Tellechea has extensive experience in international mining, most recently serving as President & CEO of Sierra Metals, Inc. (2007-2014), a Toronto based mining company listed on both the Toronto (TSX) and Lima (BVL) Stock Exchanges with assets in Mexico and Peru. Prior to Sierra Metals, Mr. Tellechea was President and CEO of Asarco LLC (2003-2005), he served as the Managing Director of Finance and Administration for Asarco’s parent, Grupo Mexico (1994-2003) and also served as Asarco’s Chief Financial Officer and Vice-president of finance for Southern Copper Corporation, which was majority owned by Grupo Mexico (1999 – 2003). Mr. Tellechea earned a BSc in Accounting (1968) and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (1983) from Tecnologico de Monterrey (Mexico).

Koko Yamamoto, Director

Ms. Yamamoto is a chartered professional accountant with over 19 years' experience. She is a partner at McGovern, Hurley, Cunningham, LLP, a CPAB registered firm, since 2003 and her practice includes a focus on assurance engagements for reporting issuers in the resource sector. Ms. Yamamoto is involved in initial public offerings and private placements, mergers and acquisitions. Ms. Yamamoto is also registered as a panel auditor with the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC), which enables her to conduct audits of investment dealers. Prior to joining McGovern, Hurley, Cunningham, LLP in 1998, Ms. Yamamoto worked for a start-up Japanese medical technology company, both in Tokyo and San Francisco. Ms. Yamamoto obtained her CPA CA designation in 2001. Ms. Yamamoto holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia.

Ernest Cleave, CA(ANZ), CPA(AUS), MBA, Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Cleave is a Chartered Accountant with over 26 years of international finance experience in, compliance, finance strategy, financial reporting, internal control and strategic planning. Mr. Cleave has previously served as Director, CFO and Corporate Controller for large, multi-national mining companies including GoldCorp Inc., Falconbridge Limited and Cline Mining. Mr. Cleave holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Free State University, a Bachelor of Computational Science from UniSA and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Deakin University.

Luciano Chaves, VP Finance and Administration, Brazil

Mr. Chaves has over 20 years of experience in financial management in a range of different industries. Prior to joining Largo, Mr. Chaves lead the finance department of multiple multinational mining and services companies in Latin America. Since joining Largo in 2011, his understanding of both domestic and international business environment has brought a differentiated contribution to the Maracás Menchen Mine. Luciano holds a Bachelor Degree in Finance and Post-graduate Degree in Business Administration.

Paul Vollant, VP Commercial

Mr. Vollant is highly experienced in the sales and marketing of metals and minerals and has specialized in strategic metals, particularly vanadium and titanium. Mr. Vollant's experience includes holding the position of General Manager of Sales and Marketing at TNG Limited, Shanghai, where his responsibility included the setup and operation of TNG's vanadium, titanium and iron products distribution strategy. Mr. Vollant was a founding Director of global commodity distribution company Element Commodities which is specialized in vanadium and titanium and was formerly with the Noble Group in London and Hong Kong. He is a Director of the HLG Group and a Non-Executive Director of Nairobi Securities Exchange. Mr. Vollant holds a M.Sc in finance and international business from the University of Lyon ESDES Business School.

Salvatore Minopoli, VP Operations, Largo Clean Energy

Mr. Minopoli brings over 30 years of U.S. energy industry experience to the Largo executive team, including extensive development and execution of utility-scale projects in both regulated and merchant energy markets in the U.S. and internationally. He has extensive experience in the successful development and execution of gas and renewable projects, holding leadership positions for both major U.S. utilities and energy technology providers. Most recently, Mr. Minopoli served as Vice President of Highview Power where he led the deployment and business growth of its long-duration energy storage technology in the U.S. Minopoli holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Catholic University, an MS in Engineering Management from George Washington University, and served as an officer in the United States Navy, Naval Construction Battalion.

Álvaro Resende, Production Director

Mr. Resende is a mining engineer with over 17 years of experience in operational management with large-scale Latin American mining companies. Prior to joining Largo in 2016, Mr. Resende’s previous experience includes over 15 years at Samarco and Samarco Mineraçao where he held the positions of Beneficiation Manager, Operations Manager and Process Engineer. Mr. Resende holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering and Post Graduate Degree in Mineral Technology from the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, and Post Graduate Degree in Industrial Management from Fundação Getulio Vargas.
